Freelancer in trading halt

Freelancer (ASX:FLN) has been granted an ASX trading halt in relation to a potential capital raising.

The world’s largest freelancing and crowdsourcing marketplace will be in halt until the earlier of the announcement being made or the start of trade on Wednesday 5th August 2015.

It posted a 41% increase in headline net revenue to $16.8 million for the half-year ended 30th June 2015 due to strong organic growth.

Gross Payment Volume in 1H15 grew strongly to $64.1 million (up 30% on the prior corresponding period).

The company had positive operating cashflow of $1.1 million for the period.

It has also seen an increase in registered users to 15.9 million up from 12.4 million in the previous year.
