GCC infrastructure projects awards reach USD86b in 2014


(MENAFN) Multi-billion dollar investments in GCC states' commercial and civil infrastructure projects is having a positive effect on the material handling sector, as the region' logistics trade is reaching full capacity.

The gulf region awarded USD86 billion worth of infrastructure projects last year, increasing 78 percent from 2013, with the rising investments fuelling demand for providers of logistics.

"The continued growth in the sector can be not only be attributed to the continued infrastructural development across the region but also to increasing demand for a streamlined supply chain," CEO of Messe Frankfurt said.
