Turkey and Pakistan Agree to Enhance Cooperation against Terrorism


(MENAFN- QNA) Turkey and Pakistan have agreed on enhancing bilateral cooperation to counter terrorism in order to eliminate the threat posed by the Daesh group and other organizations on regional security.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met with visiting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Islamabad on Saturday. The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation and regional and international developments of mutual interest.
They also agreed to make joint efforts in the field of economy and trade to raise the volume of trade exchange.
Erdogan was stopping in Pakistan on the last leg of a tour that saw him visit China and Indonesia.
During the brief visit, Erdogan had dinner with Sharif at Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan before departing for Turkey.
