UAE ship carrying 450 tonnes of food supplies arrives in Somalia


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, a ship carrying 450 tonnes of humanitarian food supplies has arrived at the port of Bosaso in Somalia, as part of the country's efforts to help alleviate the suffering of the Somali people.

A spokesperson at the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation said that the humanitarian shipment included 11 different varieties of basic food supplies and is in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to help ease the suffering of the brotherly people of Somalia, who are facing difficult humanitarian conditions.

Somali officials expressed their thanks and appreciation to the UAE leadership and hailed the good relations the UAE shares with Somalia.
