Saudi electricity sector needs USD186.58m investments


(MENAFN) Saudi electricity sector needs around USD186.58 million investment in the upcoming decade, with the bulk of the investment expected to come from the private sector.

Chairman of the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) said new plans were launched for the establishment of firms provided with specialized staff to implement projects in the Kingdom.

The new national trend encouraged the SEO to establish the SEO for Projects Development, an engineering subsidiary company owned wholly by SEO, designed to manage and supervise projects.

Other firms are planned to be established, such as the independent electricity production firms, in cooperation with the private sector, confirming that there are other firms producing electricity.
