Vienna Austria – In commemoration of National Tiger Day Nimue Fichtenbauer will be providing the World Wildlife Fund-Austria (WWF-Austria) three of her tigress paintings and 15 copies of Little Tigress Emina a children’s book she authored. The paintings and her book will then be awarded to several fortunate recipients beginning July 29 2015 by the WWF-Austria.
"I am deeply honored for the opportunity to bring awareness to peoples’ minds about the protection of tigers because the survival of tigers is the utmost concern to me. The tigress is not only a beautiful creature to me but it represents the connection people have to themselves” says Nimue a rising star in the art world.
Nimue who specializes in paintings of the tigress is donating a tigress painting for the second time to the WWF-Austria. This year three lucky winners will receive the Tigress Maya art print. First prize will be an 80 x 120 cm alu dibond print while second and third prize will be of 50 x 75 cm size.
Nimue’s travels to India have had a huge impact on her work but she gained her greatest influence from Professor Arthur Redhead. Her tigress paintings are beginning to cause excitement from Shanghai to Monaco where they were recently featured at the Gallery Mona Youssef. Her work has also been in numerous international publications like Direct Art Magazine. Additionally many tigress paintings in her collection will be featured in major Austrian Museums like the Salzburg Museum MUMOK and Albertina in 2016.
“International Tiger Day is so important to me because these beautiful animals represent our ability to grow and become stronger human beings. If we allow tigers to remain endangered we are only endangering ourselves and our ability to evolve as more caring and higher-developed people” Nimue says.
