Landslide kills at least 20 in northeast India


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) At least 20 people were killed when a landslide buried a whole village in northeast Indian state of Manipur's Chandel district on Saturday, police said.

Superintendent of Police of Chandel district Herojit Singh said 20 people were killed in the landslide at the village under Khangbarol sub-division of the district, Press trust of India (PTI) reported.

The village is 160km southwest of Imphal, the Manipur state capital.
