Oman- Bank Muscat takes part in London roundtable

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Bank Muscat the leading financial services provider in the sultanate participated in a financial services roundtable in London UK organised by the Omani British Friendship Association where dignitaries and businessmen discussed the commercial and economic relations.

Shaikh Khalid bin Mustahail al Mashani chairman of Bank Muscat appreciated the role of the  Omani British Friendship Association which aims at developing business and economic relations between Sultanate of Oman and the UK.

The bank has been playing an important role in financing great development projects in the sultanate which include projects in Oil and Gas Power Transportation and Sea Ports.

In addition Mashani said 'The Small and Medium Enterprises have been receiving special attention from Bank Muscat which was the leading bank to establish a dedicated department for financing small and medium enterprises (Al Wathbah) this successful programme contributed in the emergence of many SMEs.

'Moreover Bank Muscat is deemed a house of expertise; hence it provides free consultations in the field of finance and administration and in finding proper solutions for the entrepreneurs who need guidance and awareness in their early run.'

Mashani added 'In January 2013 Bank Muscat was the first bank in Oman to obtain an official approval from the Central Bank of Oman to provide Sharia'a compliant banking and open an Islamic window.

'We at Bank Muscat call upon all British investors corporations and organisations to take advantage of the investment climate being supported by all government entities.' 

Sulaiman al Harthi group general manager – Islamic Banking at Bank Muscat delivered a presentation about Meethaq Islamic Banking which provides banking facilities and services to individuals and corporations who are considered to be the key energizer in the development wheel of the sultanate.

Finally the bank officials took the opportunity to express their sincere gratitude to the Omani British Friendship Association and thank all parties for their valuable contribution to the success of the event.
