DHA donates Dh1.25 million worth of medicines to Emirates Red Crescent


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has donated medicines worth Dh1.25 million to Emirates Red Crescent (ERC).

Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qatami chairman of the board of the DHA recently received a delegation from the ERC at the DHA headquarters.

Praising the humanitarian efforts of the organisation Al Qatami said: "The 25 cartons of medicines include drugs for diabetes antibiotics and other medicines needed for treating various diseases.

He added that DHA had donated medicines worth Dh2 million to ERC in January as part of the 'Show Compassion' (Tarahamu) campaign.

Mohammed Abdulla Al Haj Al Zarooni manager of ERC thanked the DHA for their continuous support towards ERC projects particularly in the field of health care.

Al Zarooni said: "These contributions have had a deep positive impact on charity works which are in line with the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai."
