NATO chief: No request from Turkey for military assistance


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Turkey has not requested further military support from NATO, the head of the military alliance says, dpa reported.

'Turkey didn't ask for any additional military NATO presence in
Turkey,' Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says following emergency
talks by NATO ambassadors in Brussels.

'Turkey is a staunch ally, Turkey has a very capable armed forces -
the second-largest army within the alliance,' he adds.
