Saudi- Communications and Information Technology Commission provides wireless voice services and Internet to 1569 villages


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Communications and Information Technology Commission, represented by the Comprehensive Service Fund, has provided services to (1569) villages and hamlets included in its 9th, 10th, and 11th projects by the end of July through the comprehensive service provider 'Saudi Telecommunications' by providing communication services with the required quality including (mobile voice service and Internet service with speeds of at least 512 Kbit / seconds).

The commission said in a press statement today that the agreements of these projects were signed in December 2014 aiming to provide telecommunications services to a number of villages and hamlets in 39 governorates in Madinah, Hail, Jazan, Asir and Tabuk regions, the total number of population benefited from these projects is 1,742,000 people inhabit in 9,599 localities.
