UAE- SEDD receives Ministry of Public Works delegation


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) received a delegation from the Ministry of Public Works in order to look through the applied procedures and systems in the field of releasing licenses, exchange information that help in supporting the Ministry's imitative "Hayakum" that is organised to attract Contracting and Consultancy Companies.

The delegation comprised of Fawzia Alsayegh, Deputy Director of Tenders and Contracts Department, Qusay Rashed, Head of Roads Projects Planning Section and Hayfa Jassim from Trends and Contracts Department at the Ministry, was received by Fahad Al Kamiri, Director of Registration and Licenses Department, Abdelaziz Al Midfa, Deputy Director of Government Communication Department, and Ali Fadil, Head of Commercial Protection Department at SEDD.

Al Kamiri welcomed the delegation and emphasised the importance of cooperation between all federal and local government entities in UAE to support all the sectors in the country and to maintain its strategic objectives, vision, and aspirations. He stressed that the Department is keen on exchanging experiences and expertise that would improve and enhance its performance and efficiency.

He pointed out that SEDD encourages economic investments, support initiatives offered by the other parties which support self-employment in UAE, as well as it implies the programmes and projects that would develop the economy in the country.

Al Kamiri also clarified that the Department succeeded in reducing the time of completing and finishing the licenses and other transactions across number of procedures to improve the provided services of SEDD in order to suit the highest international quality standards including the electronic linking with several federal and local entities that goes with it strategic plan.

Later, the delegation toured SEDD to have a better idea about the Registration and Licensing Department where Al Kamiri explained the applied procedures in registering businesses that help in the commercial development, customer protection and open the way for business investments.
