China stocks fall again despite stabilizing measures


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Shanghai stock market seesawed before settling 1.68 per cent down Tuesday despite a promise to unleash more funds to stabilize the markets, dpa reported.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 4 per cent lower in the morning,
but rallied before lunch to finish at 3,663.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.41 per cent to close at
12,316.78, the Xinhua news agency reported.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style selection of growth
companies, lost 3.78 per cent to end at 2,581.96.
