New Children Mobile Games Incorporate Education and Excitement All in One

A new American Retiree article “”  spotlights an opportunity to introduce more historical and knowledge-based learning into the online video games younger generations seek.

The History Channel’s Planet H a new brand introduced to kids 7-11 to learn historical eras and events through online and downloadable games and activities recently released three free video games combining education and entertainment in an interactive mobile experience.

So if the kids are going to be playing inside on a computer or iPad this provides an option that might be more acceptable to mom and dad and grandpa and grandma.

The games are titled Age of Explorers Empire Run and Frontier Heroes.

Age of Explorers allows children to sail the seas and explore new lands as if they were Christopher Columbus discovering America. Gamers can battle through treacherous storms and manage their own crew all while learning mind-blowing facts from this time period.

In Empire Run kids act as if they are a local track star running through what experts believe were the five greatest empires ever: Ancient Egypt the Mayan civilization the Ming Dynasty and the Mughal Empire. Players will collect coins and “Did You Know” facts as they travel from empire to empire defeating the enemies.

The final game Frontier Heroes lets children explore five eras between the pre-Colonial days and the California Gold Rush. Its dozens of mini-games feature historical battles allowing players to collect a sundry of amazing facts along the way.
