KGL Resources (ASX:KGL) has added to its board with the appointment of Denis Wood as an independent non-executive director.

Wood brings experience in the development and operation of significant resource projects along with in financing and investment.

He is a qualified metallurgist and geologist with over 45 years’ experience and spent 13 years with BHP Billiton (ASX:BHP).

KGL is expected to reveal within days the resource upgrade for its Jervois copper-silver-gold project in the Northern Territory.

Jervois currently hosts 25.3 million tonnes at 1.1% copper and 22.1g/t silver for 280000 tonnes copper and 18 million ounces silver.

The upgrade will include about 20000 metres of drilling and be followed by an updated Pre-Feasibility Study in around October 2015.

Jervois also has existing mining leases in place that makes the permitting and approvals process simpler and faster.
