Kuwait Inflation Rises To 3.5%


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) recorded an increase estimated at 3.54 percent in June compared to the same month in 2014, the Central Statistical Bureau said on Sunday. The index figure during the month of June 2015 recorded a rise of 137.4 by 0.44 percent as a result of the rise in prices of some major groups with influential figures in the movement and low standard of some groups, the CSB said in its CPI monthly report. This report gives indications of the rates of changes in prices for the commodity groups influencing the families' expenditure and the ability of consumer spending.

This index uses the year 2007 as the base year. Data showing June inflation at its highest since April 2012.
