Oman cricket team set for heroes' welcome tonight
Oman made history in Dublin Ireland on Thursday by entering the ICC World Twenty20 for the first time.
The 2016 edition will be played from March 11-April 3 in India. The players are scheduled to arrive in Muscat by separate flights over two days.
OC has decided to gather the full squad and the team management at the airport for a welcome ceremony once the last of the four batches arrives from Dublin at 11pm on Monday.
The first batch arrived late on Sunday and the second one reached Muscat in the wee hours of Monday.
Fans and family members of the players are expected to be present at the airport where the players will be accorded a heroes' welcome for their historic achievement.
Oman coached by former Sri Lankan Test star Duleep Mendis and skippered by Sultan Ahmed shocked heavyweight sides like Afghanistan and The Netherlands in the course of securing its World T20 spot during the qualifying event that was played in Ireland-Scotland from July 6-26.
