Qatar Airways, India's SpiceJet to sign agreement

(MENAFN) Qatar Airways is set to undertake an investment scheme with India's SpiceJet, through which signing a commercial accord between the two entities will take place, Arabian Business reported.

The talks come two years after Qatar Airways has annulled claims that it was interested in a stake-purchase deal with SpiceJet. An initial agreement will see Doha operating as an international hub for the Indian airline.

"Talks were held recently and consensus was achieved on an interline arrangement. It was decided to resume discussions after the Eid holidays and talks will resume again in a week's time," an official from SpiceJet said.
