(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A team from Outback Steakhouse, Lagoona Mall, recently undertook a group initiative to help the environment by cleaning the Doha Corniche.
The initiative was carried out from 2.30am until sunrise, covering the area between Costa Coffee and Al Mourjan restaurant.
During the course of the cleaning initiative, the team collected discarded food packets, soft drink cups, beverage cans, used cigarette butts and other waste materials from the walkway benches, parks and beach area. Passersby appreciated the clean-up initiative and municipal cleaners also thanked the Outback team for helping out.
Rakesh Kumar, GM of operations at Outback, said: "We believe this team project improved the environment and our community at the same time. It exemplifies our ongoing social commitment to provide a healthier surrounding. I thank my team for contributing to and supporting this important effort."
