Qatar- Ministry to digitalise millions of documents for online services


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Ministry of Justice is to digitalise millions of documents to allow people to access services online.

Around six million transactions and legal documents at the real estate and authentication services department will be digitalised, followed by 250,000 real estate documents.

Estimated to be completed in 18 months, the first phase of the project was implemented recently, Al Sharq reports. The first phase will cover 30 percent of the documents related to real estate registration.

The second phase will include transactions and legal documents, and once completed, the public will be able to access services through the website or with an app on smartphones.

People will have easy access to services and accurate information will be available once all documents of the 'real estate and authentication services re-engineering and development' known as SAK is digitalised, the ministry said.

It will provide a single window for the public to access services from any place.

Also, real estate companies will have access to some information and transactions through the website.

All services will be made available in coordination with ictQatar and will be linked to the Ministry of Interior, the Supreme Council of Heath and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
