Jordan, Yemen discuss military relations


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Jordanian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mashal Mohammad Zaben held talks on Thursday with Chief of staff of the Yemeni Army, Major General Mohammed Ali al-Maqdesh on military bilateral relations.

"During the meeting, which was attended by Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, Zaben discussed with the Yemeni delegation prospects for military cooperation and coordination between the two sides as well as ways to boost relations between the two countries armed forces," according to Jordan News agency (Petra).

The meeting was attended by a number of top Jordanian military officials and Yemeni delegation accompanying al-Maqdesh.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni Vice President Khaled Bahah visited Jordan last June and met with a number of Jordanian officials.

In June 26, 2014, Jordan announced the participation in the Saudi-Arabia led coalition in Yemen. (end) ab.hs
