(MENAFN) Volkswagen Group China said it delivered 1.74 million automobiles to market in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong in the first six months of this year, Xinhua reported.
The German automobiles jointly delivered by Volkswagen Group China, Shanghai Volkswagen and FAW-Volkswagen also said its delivery includes 91,200 imported models.
In the luxury market, 29,400 Porsches and more than 100 Lamborghinis were delivered during the same period, up 48 percent and 66 percent year on year respectively.
Volkswagen will introduce 60 new models in 2015, 15 of which will be specially designed for the Chinese market, said President of Volkswagen Group China in a statement.
