WHO increases medical aid in Yemen


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The World Health Organisation, WHO, has announced that it has intensified its medical aid to Yemen in partnership with the Yemeni Ministry of Health by implementing a polio and smallpox vaccination campaign in 9 provinces, targetting 50,000 children under the age of 15.

Speaking at a news conference, a spokesman from the organisation said that the WHO has also distributed 4.6 tons of medicine, medical equipment, and disinfectant in 8 provinces, despite the difficult security situation in the country.
