Jordan- Prime Minister hails Jordan health sector's advanced achievements


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour said Jordan's health sector has made advanced achievements "we pride ourselves on and should be maintained at this level."

During a visit to the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, Ensour noted that promoting achievements requires building strong partnerships between all health sector components, based on studies involving everyone in a spirit of responsibility and good performance.

He pointed to the government's efforts to provide comprehensive health insurance for all citizens, stressing that the government, under royal directives, sought to improve health insurance coverage for citizens.

The prime minister instructed authorities concerned, which were formed to study the best ways to achieve comprehensive health insurance, to complete related studies and submit them to the government to take the appropriate decisions toward applying comprehensive health insurance "which came a long way to achieve."

He also stressed on the importance of completing medical accountability laws' final form in a balanced manner that preserves all health parties' rights.

The premier expressed his full support for the ministry's efforts in developing hospitals and health centers and its cadres.

Ensour instructed to immediately implement the development plan of Al Bashir Hospital in Amman in parallel to the development of all ministry's hospitals, particularly emergency departments.

Health Minister Ali Hiasat gave a briefing on the ministry's achievements, future plans and visions for development and modernization.
