Czech Foreign Minister: Whereabouts of 5 Czechs missing in Lebanon unknown

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Czech Republic's foreign minister says the fate of five Czech men who went missing in eastern Lebanon over the weekend is still unclear, but kidnapping is one possibility, AP reported.

The men disappeared along with their Lebanese driver. Their car was found Saturday a few hundred meters (yards) away from a Lebanese army checkpoint in the town of Kefraya. A suitcase in the car contained their passports and money in Lebanese lira and euros.

After a meeting Tuesday of his ministry's crisis committee, Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek says 'we have no information about their whereabouts' and 'nobody has contacted us.'

He declined to give any details about the men, including the reason for their trip.
