Communist rebel commander killed in eastern Philippines


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) A communist rebel commander was killed in a clash with government troops in an eastern Philippine province, an army brigade commander said Tuesday, according to dpa.

The clash occurred Monday when guerrillas attacked a
government militia camp in Camarines Norte province, about 190
kilometres south-east of Manila, according to Colonel Amador Tabuga.

He identified the slain rebel commander as Romeo Gresola.
