Over 232,550 attend Eid festivities at Katara Cultural Village


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Eid Al Fitr celebration continued on the fourth day, attracting hundreds of children and families at Katara Cultural Village and Souq Waqif yesterday.

Katara hosted events for four days, starting from the first day of the Eid holidays. Over 232,550 people took part in the celebration.

Activities begin at 7pm on each day with giveaways for children.

A 'Land of Inventions' performance is held in English and Arabic every day and the evening also features a display of fireworks.

The Katara Fountain has been officially inaugurated as part of the celebration.

Eid celebration also continues at Souq Waqif until Thursday.

Walking 'monsters' were seen roaming around the venue, entertaining children.

Activities include face painting, air hockey, sumo wrestling, train rides and an F1 simulator game.
