Kuwait- Power Cuts Tied To Violations
(MENAFN- Arab Times) Director of Technical Supervision Department at Ministry of Electricity and Water Eng Eqbal Al-Tayar affirmed that the ministry's committee for rationalizing consumption of electricity and water successfully coordinated with various state institutions for applying the programmed power cutoff system during Ramadan, reports Al-Nahar daily.
He revealed that many areas experienced power outages because of unlicensed electrical overload in some buildings which affected the power network in the area. Eng Al-Tayer added that some houses experienced electrical cutoffs because of certain violations committed by the house owners and not because of failure in the electrical network.
