Canada's Corus records USD8.1m losses


(MENAFN) Corus Entertainment, the Toronto-based television and radio company, recorded an USD8.1 million net loss for the quarter ended in May, according to the company's CEO, The Star reported.

Corus attributed its loss to shareholders. Revenue also decreased by about USD11 million, reaching down to USD203.1 million from USD214.0 million in the third quarter of 2014.

"Over the next 18 months, our focus will be to fortify our brands and competitive position by leveraging our strategic investments in premium content across platforms and delivery systems," Corus's CEO stated.
