Cameron, Sultan Qaboos discuss Iran's "historic" nuclear deal

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) British prime minister David Cameron discussed with Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said the details of the "historic" nuclear deal that was signed between Iran and the five UN Security Council members plus Germany (the so-called P5+1).

The UK Prime Minister's Spokesperson said in a press release, late Wednesday, that Cameron expressed appreciation to Oman's support to Iran's nuclear agreement.

The two leaders, who held this conversation over the phone, agreed that this deal would achieve real peace and security in the region. Cameron also reassured Sultan Qaboos that the deal would not affect the stability of the GCC countries.

They also discussed the situation in Yemen and expressed concern over the delay of humanitarian aid arrival to the southern parts of the country.

They stressed that disputed parties in Yemen should come together to form a untied government. (end)
