Qatar- Al Furjan Markets attract shoppers

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Al Furjan Markets have recorded a steady rise in customers during the holy month of Ramadan and in the run-up to the Eid holidays.

Many locals and expatriates have praised the idea behind the newly-introduced markets.

Saeed Mohamed al-Muhannadi, a Qatari national, stressed that the Al Furjan Market was a "very good idea" that helped him take care of his basic needs during Ramadan. "It saved us time and effort, besides offering a wide variety of services."

Another local, Hamad al-Ahbabi, said he preferred to buy goods from such markets as they were located near his house and saved him time.

Mohamed al-Mansuri said the markets have lived up to the expectations of local inhabitants.

A number of locals and expatriates in different areas, where Al Furjan Markets have been opened, said these establishments help save them the trouble of going to shopping malls to buy basic needs.

Meanwhile, some Al Furjan shop operators said the number of customers has increased. While shopkeepers admitted that things were not easy to begin with, customers gradually got used to the markets and established good relations with them. Consequently, business started to flourish.
