(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), in association with Visa, has launched a summer promotion that allows customers to win back their international spends using their Visa debit or credit cards.
The campaign entitled "Win Back your International Purchases" gives QIB customers the chance to win back all their purchases done internationally between July 13 and October 10, 2015.
D Anand, QIB general manager Personal Banking Group, said all QIB Visa cardholders are eligible for the prize draw each time they use their QIB-Visa credit or debit cards for purchases outside Qatar.
"Customers who are planning to spend their summer vacation abroad have another reason to use their QIB cards and the more they spend, the more chances they have to win," he said.
He stressed that during the travel season, customers tend to spend more when booking for airline tickets, hotels, car rentals, as well as shopping and buying gifts.
"To encourage our customers to use their cards against cash and ensure optimal safety while spending, we are rewarding them by paying back what they spend, as we endeavour to make their vacation and shopping experience memorable.

Anand said 53 winners will be randomly selected from a draw to win back their total international purchases up to QR25,000, while three winners will win back their spends up to QR25,000, including 10 winners (up to QR10,000) and 40 winners (up to QR5,000).
Supplementary cards are eligible and will be included along with the primary cardholder. Only active cards of customers at the time of the draw will be eligible to win the prize. The draw will be held by the end of October 2015.
QIB offers a range of Visa credit and debit cards, each offering a variety of features. All cards are accepted locally and internationally at millions of merchant outlets and 1.8mn ATMs worldwide.

The QIB-Qatar Airways co-branded cards enable customers to earn Qmiles. These Qmiles can be then used for redemptions, including complimentary flights, upgrades, and excess baggage on Qatar Airways' flights, together with purchases made at Qatar Duty Free located at Hamad International Airport in Doha or the Oryx Galleria boutique in Doha. Qmiles can also be redeemed for complimentary flights with oneworld airline partners.
