Seven Security Men Killed, Four Injured in Northern Iraq


(MENAFN- QNA) Seven security men were killed and four others injured Wednesday evening in a suicidal explosion in Beji district, north of Tikrit in northern Iraq.

Iraqi police said a suicide attacker wearing an explosive belt infiltrated into security forces positions in central Baji and exploded himself killing seven security members and injuring four others .

In another development, a security source said international coalition aircraft raided Daesh targets and concentrations in the Bunajm village killing an unidentified number of militants. Abu Hamza Al-Tikriti, a leader of Daesh in Al-Hawija district, was also killed in an air raid.

Meanwhile, the Department of Forensic Medicine (DFM) in Mosul was handed over bodies of 32 Daesh militants killed by Peshmerga forces north and west of Mosul in northern Iraq. A Department of Forensic Medicine source said the killed militants included leading figures in the organization belonging to Syrian and Chechnyan nationalities.
