UAE Embassy in Portugal implements Iftar Project


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The UAE Embassy in Lisbon has overseen the distribution of food aid on the outskirts of the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, in cooperation with the Portuguese Refugee Council, which provided basic food necessities for families and individuals registered at the centre.

The effort is part of the Iftar Project funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

An official at the refugee centre said that the initiative reflects the generosity of the Emirati leadership and its people, and strengthens relations between the UAE and Portugal in the humanitarian field.
