Qatar's gross national savings reach USD25.9b in Q1


(MENAFN) Qatar's gross national savings reached USD25.9 billion in the first quarter of the year, marking a 23 percent slump compared with the corresponding period a year ago, Gulf Times reported.

The gross saving ratio to nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been assessed at 54.6 percent in the first quarter of the year, which compares to 61.1 percent for the same quarter last year.

The country's Gross National Income (GNI) also decreased reaching USD46.51 billion the first quarter of the year, marking a decrease of 12 percent year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS).
