Argentina receives USD150m loan for energy projects


(MENAFN) Argentina announced on it received a loan from the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) for USD150 million for energy related works, Xinhua reported.

The loan aims to help strengthen the South American country's energy sector, through expanding its natural gas transportation and distribution systems which it already has.

According to the Minister of Planning and Public Investment, these expansions will bring new homes into the country's natural gas network and increase the number of users.

The energy projects to be finaced by the CAF loan were already included in the framework of the National Energy Plan 2014-2019, which is currently being implemented by the Argentinean government.
