China's industrial output expands 6.3 percent in H1


(MENAFN) Official data showed that industrial production in China expanded by 6.3 percent in the January-June period of 2015, edging down from a 6.4 percent increase a quarter ago, Xinhua reported.

In a positive sign, the growth rate has gradually recovered from 5.6 percent in March, the lowest level since the global financial crisis in 2008, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The output of manufacturing rose 7.7 percent in the last month, that of the mining industry rose 2.7 percent, and output for electricity, heating, gas and water was up 2.1 percent.
