Ruler of Sharjah issues Emiri Decree on SCC's elections


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued Emiri Decree No. (59) of year 2015 on holding elections to the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC).

Article 3 of the Decree stipulates that each constituency will have an electoral college with members named by the ruler.

The emirate shall be divided into constituencies, based on the number of municipalities, with the representatives elected for the following SCC seats: 6 for Sharjah City, 3 for Al Dhaid, 3 for Khor Fakkan, 2 for Dibba Al Hosn, 1 for Al Hamriya, 1 for Al Batayeh, 1 for Melaiha and 1 for Al Madam.
