(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A total of 29025 people visited Salalah from June 21 to July 13 this year as compared to 27586 visitors in the same period of khareef season last year witnessing a growth of 5.2 per cent.
According to the statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) while Omanis comprised 50.9 per cent of the total visitors Emiratis comprised 8.3 per cent and the rest of GCC nationals represented 5.2 per cent.
The average temperature during khareef season in Salalah is 26°C. The lowest temperature recorded in khareef seasons since 1986 to 2010 was 21°C and the highest temperature was 34°C. Khareef season officially begins on June 21 and continues till September every year.
