Three Umrah pilgrims killed in road accident


(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: A return drive from Makkah to Riyadh after performing Umrah during the last leg of Ramadan became the last journey in the lives of three Asian workers who met with a fatal road accident at Al-Humayat around 400 km from the capital.
'Three Bangladeshi workers died in the accident' the Bangladeshi Embassy confirmed on Tuesday. 'They were coming back from Makkah after performing Umrah when their car collided with another vehicle in the early hours on Friday at around 5 a.m.' said an embassy official.
The official identified those killed as Nijamuddin Masuk Mia and Moudud Ahmed Chowdhury.
According to him the embassy is in possession of the three bodies and the funeral for Masuk Mia and Moudud Ahmed Chowdhury will be performed in Riyadh while Nijamuddin's family has requested the body be sent back home for which the embassy is making arrangements.
