UAE- Fujairah Police all set for Eid rush


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Fujairah Police Department has announced deployment of traffic and security patrols on all internal roads, streets and highways of the emirate, with focus on tourist landmarks that will be thronged by visitors during the three-day Eid Al Fitr holiday.

Police patrols will also be stationed in the areas where families get-togethers take place in order to ensure smooth traffic movement provide them with the required assistance and services, and keep order in these places.

The arrangements for the Eid Al Fitr holiday were discussed and approved at a meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, commander in chief of Fujairah Police.

The meeting was attended by the directors of the departments and sectional heads. Brigadier Kaabi said all police stations in the emirate are prepared and ready to cope with uncertainties and provide assistance to the public.

He appealed to all motorists and those visiting the emirate during the Eid holiday to be careful while in mountainous areas, valleys, lowlying areas and also if out at sea. The police operations room is also all set to receive any emergency calls, inquiries or reports and can be reached at 999.
