(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index added 42.40 points, or 0.36 percent when the bourse closed Monday at 11,938.42 points.
The market capitalisation increased to QR633.30bn compared with QR632.78bn registered Sunday.
The trade turnover today jumped to QR192.17m with a volume of 5,203,314 shares from 2,694 transactions compared with QR113.09m with a volume of 2,430,765 shares from 1,908 transactions on Sunday.
Indices of five sectors ended in the green and two in the red today. Real estate index gained the most, up 2.22 percent to 2,760.91 points.
Banks and finance companies index dropped 0.40 percent to 3,130.42 points while industries went down 0.26 percent to 3,821.47 points.
QSE Total Return Index gained 0.36 percent (18,556.56 points). QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index gained 0.59 percent (4,639.76 points) and QSE All Share Index gained 0.27 percent (3,192.32 points).
Investors traded shares of 41 from the 43 QSE-listed companies today. From these shares of 26 gained, 14 declined and one remained unchanged.
