14 Militants Killed in Internal Clashes in Afghan Nangarhar Province


(MENAFN- QNA) Fourteen rebels have been killed in internal clashes in Afghan eastern Nangarhar province, which is changing into a battle field between Taliban and Daesh.

Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, the spokesman for the provincial police headquarters, says that nine militants were killed and 11 others wounded after a fight broke out between two insurgent groups in Sholani area of Chaparhar District yesterday.

According to Mashriqiwal, the second clash erupted in Mamand village of Achin District leaving five more militants killed.

Although, he has not specified the names of these groups in the statement issued Tuesday morning but Taliban and Daesh groups have been in severe clashes with each other in Nangarhar province, (Khaama Press) reported.

These clashes have also harmed civilians.

Officials say shells fired from the warring groups sometimes land on civilians living places, forcing villagers to abandon their homes in fear.
