Iran's exports value to Asia reaches USD5b


(MENAFN) Trade Promotion Organization of Iran declared that
Iran exported goods with USD5.39 billion value, weighing 10.934 million tons to Asian states during March 21-May 21 of 2015, Iran daily reported.


Over 11.923 million tons of commodities worth USD4.616 billion were exported to Asia in the same period of 2014, which represented 94.2 percent of the total exports during the period.


A decline of 8 percent in terms of weight and an increase of 9 percent in terms of value were both noticed in a comparison between exports during the cited period and the same period last year.


Meanwhile, Iranian exports to Europe wighed 342,000 tons worth USD242 million, accounting for 2.96 percent and 4.4 percent of Iran's total exports in terms of weight and value.
