(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Commercial Bank has announced the launch of a summer campaign to reward customers for using debit cards overseas from July 1 to September 30.
Customers who use debit cards for overseas transactions - ATM cash withdrawals, online transactions or those at merchant outlets - during promotion have a chance to win back overseas holiday expenses made using debit cards.
Only one overseas transaction is needed to qualify, by spending in non-Qatari currency for a minimum value equivalent to QR100 either at an ATM or in a retail outlet.
Sadara members have a chance to win back up to QR5,000 of their international spending made throughout promotion, while personal banking customers have a chance to win back up to QR1,000 of their spending made during promotion.
Dean Proctor, EGM, Consumer & Private Banking, said: "Commercial Bank is providing some excitement to our Sadara and personal banking members every time they use their debit cards overseas.
"Every transaction they make over QR100 while travelling overseas, qualifies them for an entry into a draw to win back their spends overseas.
"During this summer and travel period we recognise that our customers need safe and secure payment options while on vacation or visiting friends and family overseas and by using our debit cards, we want to thank them for their loyalty by offering this promotion."
Debit cards eliminate the need to carry cash, and can be used for daily transactions at home and when travelling.
They can be used anywhere where Visa cards are accepted, to withdraw funds from ATMs or make payments directly to overseas merchants when shopping.
Debit cards are Chip and PIN-enabled, providing customers with protection from misuse. They are 3D Secure-enabled, which offers customers security they need when using cards to shop online.
Customers are urged to contact the bank's Call Centre (+974 44490000) in advance to notify them of travel plans to ensure their cards can be used seamlessly while travelling overseas.
