U.S. oil rig count increases for second straight week

Industry firm Baker Hughes said U.S. energy firms added five oil rigs last week the second week of increases in a row after 29 consecutive weeks of declines.

On Friday crude futures settled little changed.

U.S. crude futures settled down 4 cents at US$52.74 a barrel although during the session was up close to 2%.
