Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan released

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday released Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan, who had been on a hunger strike in an Israeli jail for 56 days.

The authorities released the prisoner, who spent some 11 months in Israeli jails, after reaching an agreement two weeks ago.

The 37-year old Palestinian was arrested last July for the tenth time without trial under the so-called "administrative detention" rule.

Palestinian sources said that Israeli forces handed over Adnan to the Palestinian side near Arraba village western Jenin, where he was immediately transferred to the Jenin Governmental Hospital to undergo a comprehensive medical check-up.
