(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Canadian government on Sunday said it stands with Egypt in its fight against terror. Canadian Foreign Minister Rob Nicholson said in a statement that Canada condemns the terror attack that recently struck Cairo, in which the Daesh terrorist group has been held responsible.
Daesh will not succeed in shaking Egypt's stability, Nicholson added.
Further, the Canadian foreign ministry welcomed cooperation between Afghanistan and the United States, which has dealt a heavy blow to senior leaders from the Deash terrorist group in Afghanistan.
Nicholson said it is clear that the threat of terrorism is a real danger, and this is the reason that Canada will continue to stand by the governments of Egypt, Afghanistan and other affected countries to combat the growing threat of terrorism in all its forms and bring about peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
