Israel prevents Palestinian prisoner from seeing his family for 8 years

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Israeli occupation authorities prevented Gazan prisoner Mohammad Ismail al Bul from meeting his family for more than 8 years.

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-detainees said in a statement on Sunday that the 27- year old al Bul, who has been detained since 2008 after being sentenced to 12 years in prison, is being deprived of contact with his family, whether by visits or phone calls, and can only contact them through the commission's lawyer.

The commission added that the Israel Prison Service deprives prisoners of family visits for months and years, which is contrary to human rights' principals and is used as a punitive method against prisoners and their families.
