MENA governments to invest USD9.5b on cybersecurity


(MENAFN) According to experts' points of view regional governments are considering together to invest massively on cybersecurity over the next four years due to increasing cybercrimes, Saudi Gazette stated.

A recent MarketsandMarkets report predicted that while governments and enterprises cooperate to apply strict laws and regulations for securing networks, they will spend over USD9.5 billion on cybersecurity by 2019.

Last year, a tremendous 42.8 million information security incidents were recorded globally, up 48 percent from the previous year, Pricewaterhouse Coopers stated in its report "An industry on the rise."

The Middle East Malware faces growing malware threats from cyber-attacks, specifically in the energy sector, which was noticed as the global top five most-at-risk industries for malware in 2014.
